Bisous Bisous Gift Inc. operates Love Bisous and Lovebisous.ca from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information through our wholesale website and related business activities.

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Wholesale application and account information, such as company name, contact name, business email, phone number, company website or social profile, store type, business description, Business Number, PST number where submitted, business address, account status, login details and marketing-consent choice.
  • Order and transaction information, such as products ordered, quantities, billing and Canadian shipping addresses, taxes, payment status, shipping details, order history and customer-service records.
  • Custom-project information, such as company and contact details, project requirements, requested quantities and dates, billing or business location, project notes, quotes, approvals and logos or artwork you choose to upload.
  • Communications you send to us about applications, accounts, orders, projects, support or privacy questions.
  • Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser and device information, request timestamps, server logs, security events, and cookies or similar storage needed for sessions, accounts, carts and checkout.

Please do not provide personal information that is not reasonably needed for your application, order, project or communication.

2. Why we collect and use information

We collect and use personal information for specific business purposes, including to:

  • review wholesale retailer applications and administer approved retailer accounts;
  • authenticate users and keep wholesale pricing and ordering restricted to approved accounts;
  • process, fulfill, ship and support wholesale orders;
  • communicate about applications, accounts, orders, projects and customer-service requests;
  • prepare custom-project quotes and produce approved custom work;
  • detect fraud, misuse and security incidents and maintain website reliability;
  • meet legal, accounting, tax, recordkeeping and dispute-resolution obligations; and
  • send optional wholesale news or collection updates where valid consent exists.

We may also collect, use or disclose information where permitted or required by applicable law.

3. Consent and choices

We seek consent appropriate to the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is handled. Information needed to assess an application, operate an account, complete an order or respond to a requested quote is separate from optional marketing consent.

The wholesale-news checkbox is optional and is not preselected. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided in a message or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect account, order, quote or other transactional communications that are reasonably necessary to provide requested services or meet legal obligations.

4. Payment information

Payments are handled through the payment services configured at checkout. The website currently uses Stripe for online payment processing. Payment-card details are submitted to and processed by the payment provider; Love Bisous does not receive or store the full payment-card number or card security code. We receive limited transaction information needed to confirm and administer an order, such as payment status, amount, payment method type and processor transaction reference.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We may provide personal information to service providers only as reasonably necessary for them to perform services for us, such as website hosting and infrastructure, WordPress and WooCommerce functionality, payment processing, email delivery, shipping and fulfilment, accounting and business administration, or security and technical support.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to a valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety or security of Love Bisous or others, or in connection with a proposed business transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements. We do not sell personal information.

6. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information handled in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities in accordance with those laws. We remain responsible for personal information under our control and use reasonable measures appropriate to the services involved.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies and similar storage that are necessary to operate WordPress and WooCommerce features, including login and account sessions, cart contents, checkout, payment and security functions. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.

WooCommerce’s first-party order-attribution feature may use browser storage to record limited source information, such as a referring page, entry page or campaign parameter, and may associate that information with an order so we can understand how the order reached the website. We do not currently use a separate third-party analytics or advertising platform on Lovebisous.ca. If our tracking practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law.

8. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate order, customer-service, legal, accounting, tax, dispute and security requirements. Retention depends on the type of record and the circumstances. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete, destroy or anonymize it.

9. Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. These include role-based account access, server and application security controls, restricted administrative access, and private storage controls for uploaded project artwork. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Access, correction and privacy questions

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may be withheld where permitted or required by law.
